Explain the assumptions. Then earn the recommendation.

YardageWise is being built for quilters who need to understand an estimate before they buy fabric. We do not present an unreviewed formula as a purchase instruction.

What we publish now.

Our guides explain planning inputs such as finished size, usable fabric width, allowance, panels and joins. They are educational and should be used alongside a pattern’s instructions and the quilter’s own judgement.

What must happen before a live calculator result.

Before a calculator gives a purchase recommendation, it needs documented cases across fabric widths, quilt sizes and panel orientations, followed by review from experienced quilters. The public result must show its inputs and cut-plan assumptions.

Corrections and feedback.

If a guide is unclear or a planning assumption is missing, contact us through Support. We will correct material issues and date substantive revisions so readers can see what changed.
